All matters referred to the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal are given a hearing or conference date within 48 hours of referral. Notices are sent to all parties.
Section 81A referrals are listed for hearing 7 days after the hearing notice is posted although hearing dates for matters outside Hobart may vary slightly due to travel timetables.
All referrals, other than those section under section 81A, must go through a conciliation process for the purpose of attempting to resolve the claim by agreement.
Each party is posted a notice identifying the conciliator and briefly outlining how the process will be conducted.
